We denature our Beverage Alcohol 96% with one of our individual food denaturations for you. Our different denaturations for food applications stand out thanks to their various characteristics. Therewith they will support the desired attributes of your foods. All qualities are also available in controlled certified organic quality (BioPremium). 

Beverage Alcohol 96%, denatured with Lactic Acid

Lactic acid represents versatile characteristics like disinfection and natural conservation. It is a naturally occuring acid that helps to reduce the acidity in foods. Especially pickled tinned food make use of lacid acid to complete the flavour.

The combination of beverage alcohol and lactic acid is often found in the food industry. Lactic acid is permitted in foods without maximum quantity restrictions that are not labeled with a ban on additives.

Trinkalkohol 96%, denatured with Caustic Potash

Caustic potash (also called potash lye or potassium hydroxide) is an accredited food additive applied as acidity regulator in foods. Hence, caustic potash is able to neutralize acids and control or rather stabilize the pH level of a food. It is used, for example, in preservatives, which only develop their full effect in an acidic environment. Moreover, caustic potash is used to open up protein and starch.

When food is not marked by interdition of additives caustic potash is permitted without any quantity restriction.

Beverage Alcohol 96%, denatured with Triethyl Citrate

Triethyl citrate is the triethyl ester of citric acid and represents a food additive. In the food industry the triethyl citrate is primary deployed as carrier substance for aromas. Thanks to triethyl citrate, flavours can be spreaded in food.

Triethyl citrate is permitted only for the following applications in the food sector: egg white powder and flavours.

Beverage Alcohol, 96%, denatured with Sodium Chloride

Sodium chloride (also called NaCl or table salt) constitutes the sodium salt of the hydrochloric acid. It represents a common preservative agent for meat, fish and vegetables (e.g. sauerkraut). Besides, it is utilized to pickle vegetables (e.g. pickled cucumbers, olives) in brine. Thereby it benefits from its germicidal effect.
